The Exhibition will tell the fascinating story of Fowey life against the background of the momentous events unfolding in Europe in the age of Nelson, wellington and the 'Corsican Tyrant" Napoleon Bonaparte. Find out about Privateers and Smugglers, Trades and Runaway Apprentices, Murder and Mayhem, Shops and Fashions, Elections and Political Skulduggery, Wealth and Poverty, Entertainments and Celebrations, the Fowey 'Fencibles' and the Fowey Voluntary Artillery Corps, and Fowey Men at Trafalgar and Waterloo.
