Bus Services

National Express

National Express offers scheduled coach services to and from Cornwall.
For Fowey, Golant, Tywardreath and Par the nearest stops are St Blazey, St Blazey Gate and St Austell. First bus no.25 and Western Greyhound no.524 both run a regular daily service to Fowey near to these stops.

For Polruan, Lanteglos, Bodinnick, Lerryn and Lostwithiel the nearest stops are East Taphouse and Lostwithiel, from these stops you may need to use a taxi - see below.

First

Operates a regular daily service between Fowey and St Austell, service number 25.
From St Austell Bus Station connecting buses operate to other locations in Cornwall.
Last daily service from Fowey leaves at 2310hrs, Monday to Saturday.

Fowey Town Bus

A regular service running from outside the church in the town centre to the Main Car Park on Hanson Drive. Service runs daily between 1000hrs and 1900hrs (1300 to 1900hrs on Sundays) Easter to the end of September and 1000hrs and 1800hrs (1300 to 1800hrs on Sundays) from October to Easter. Please note From November to Easter the service runs to a winter schedule - for further information call us on +44(0)1726 833616.

Polruan Bus Service 281 - The Coast Path Connection

A service between Polruan, Polperro and Looe.
The service operates Monday to Friday except public holidays.

Ferry Services

Continental Ferry Service

Fowey to Polruan Passenger and Cycle Ferry
Summer service
runs 1st May - 30th September from Whitehouse Slip until 1815hrs.
From 1830hrs service operates from Town Quay until 2300hrs.
Continuous service from 0715hrs Monday - Saturday and 0900hrs on Sunday.
Please check notice board for further information during August.

Winter service
runs 1st October - 30th April leaving Town Quay.
Monday - Saturday 0715hrs until 1900hrs continuous service.
Sundays 1000hrs until 1700hrs continuous service.
All ferry services are subject to weather conditions.

Fowey to Bodinnick Vehicle Ferry
Summer service
operates 1st April - 31st October.
Service starts 0700hrs Monday - Saturday and 0800hrs on Sunday.
During early April service finishes at 1900hrs.
From mid April to mid June service gradually finishes later until it reaches 2045hrs.
From mid June to early September the service runs until 2045hrs.
Throughout September the service will gradually finish earlier until it reaches 1900hrs.
Please check the boards by the slipway or notices on the ferry for current finishing time.
A passenger service operates on some summer evenings, see the ferry men for details.
Winter service operates 1st November - 31st March.
Service starts 0700hrs Monday - Friday, 0800hrs on Saturday and 0900hrs on Sunday.
Throughout the winter the service finishes at 1900hrs.
All ferry services are subject to weather conditions.

Fowey to Mevagissey Passenger Ferry

A timetabled summer service between Fowey, leaving Whitehouse Slip, and Mevagissey. Journey time is around 40 minutes, please see leaflet or notice board for sailings.
An alternative route to The Lost Gardens of Heligan, finishing the journey by foot or taxi. This service is dependent on weather conditions.

Train Services

First Great Western, Crosscountry & Wessex Trains operate between mainline stations in Cornwall and much of the country, including express services to London Paddington, Birmingham and Edinburgh.

For Fowey, Golant, Tywardreath and Par the nearest stations are Par and St Austell. First bus no. 25 and Western Greyhound no. 524 both run a regular daily service to Fowey near to these stops.

ForPolruan, Lanteglos, Bodinnick, Lerryn and Lostwithiel the nearest stations are Liskeard, Bodmin Parkway and Lostwithiel, from these stops you may need to use a taxi - see below.

Local services also operate to main line stations throughout Cornwall from Lostwithiel, Par and St Austell. Branch line services operate to Newquay from Par, Looe from Liskeard, Falmouth from Truro and St Ives from St Erth.
