A beautiful house with glorious views in the heart of the Fowey Estuary.

This comfortable and historic house beside the river has wonderful views. Relax on the terrace overlooking the water or make use of the private pontoon for boating. The property has literary associations as Kenneth Grahame, author of "Wind in the Willows" was a frequent visitor.

Built in 1805 it is half a mile upstream from the Bodinnick Ferry with access to Fowey. There you will discover the historic Old Ferry Inn which sits beside the water opposite renowned Cornish author, Daphne du Maurier's house.

Captain's Cottage

Added in 1847, this self-contained wing of Kit’s House is known as Captain’s Cottage. The ground floor provides a sunny living room with comfortable sitting and dining area, woodburner and fitted kitchen to the rear.

Upstairs the front bedroom has a fine view of the river with painted panelled walls. The second bedroom has a single bed and a folding bed and is located to the rear of the house with an outlook to the garden.

Bosun's Loft

Bosun's Loft has a light and airy sitting room and double bedroom, with lovely views down river and across Mixtow Pill.

The apartment has an additional bedroom to the rear with bunk beds and a kitchen off the sitting room with a family bathroom. The apartment is on the second floor and opens out to the rear garden with small patio.

Smugglers' Loft

Smugglers' Loft has sloping and beamed ceilings and dormer windows in the sitting room and double bedroom, with lovely views down river and across Mixtow Pill.

Originally used for storage, Smugglers' Loft was converted into living accommodation in the Victorian period.

The apartment has a second bedroom to the rear with a single bed and trundle bed and a kitchen off the sitting room with a family bathroom. The apartment is on the second floor and opens on to the rear garden with a small patio area.

The Lofts are reached by an external staircase and are unsuitable for anyone with limited mobility. Originally used for storage, they were converted into living accommodation in the Victorian period.
