A Family Fun Weekend 10th & 11th May 2014 Inspired by Nature is being developed by a partnership between Fowey Festival of Words and Music and Trenython Manor.
We have set out to create an amazing, fun filled weekend where families can play, connect with nature and be creative together. The festival will provide a magical experience where literature and nature are entwined in a beautiful landscape. Come and experience a broad range of words and music, workshops and installations within a safe, natural and inspirational setting. Every clearing and glade will hold a new way to unleash creativity. Families will discover and delight in the opportunities within the woodland environment during this weekend event.

Hidden Haikus – enjoy and develop short poems inspired by nature in Trenython woodland
Meet and talk to authors of children’s books, who will sign your personal copy
Find out what local school children have created in their Story Republic
Enjoy the winning ‘Wild’, ‘Wood’ or ‘Water’ poems from our Children’s Poetry Competition
Weave some willow to create a lasting structure and your own willow creation to take home
