Fowey Christmas Market
Around the first weekend of December the beautiful seaside town of Fowey hosts a weekend of festive entertainment, food and drink along with plenty of opportunities to pick up some great Christmas gifts. It is now in it's 11th year and continues to go from strength to strength.
Events for the 2015 Market start on the Friday evening with entertainment through the town including Father Christmas coming to town by tug, a lantern parade, Christmas lights switch on, a hog roast and festive music. Many of the local shops will be open for the duration.
Santa will be setting up his grotto in the Butter Market, which will be open at various times over the weekend. Saturday morning sees the opening of the market, continuing on Sunday. As well as the marquee's on the Town Quay there will be local producers and crafts people in the Town Hall and also in the Webb Street marketplace. You’ll find a wealth of traditional and Cornish traders, offering all kinds of gifts, art and craft as well as delicious local food and drink, all complementing Fowey’s eclectic range of quality eateries, boutiques and art galleries. There will also be various entertainers performing around the town and Victorian fairground rides for the children
