About

An intimate 3 acre award-winning cottage style garden and specialist plant nursery nestled in a secluded hidden valley in Cornwall.

There are 26 identified beds and borders that are full of colour from early season to late autumn.  It is a “wonderfully peaceful place to sit and dream amongst the borders/beds” set with herbaceous perennials, shrubs, grasses, and wild flower circles.  There is a pond area with wildlife and bog planting, and a shady Fernery, also Japanese and Mediterranean areas and an Iris Bed. There are large collections of named Crocosmia, Agapanthus and Dahlias (over 100 varieties) and smaller collections of the hardy perennials, such as. primrose, leucanthemum, helenium, astilbe, astrantia, penstemon, salvia, and asters, all labelled.  Some of the plants have been grown from our own seed selections.  In February we have ‘pop-up’ visiting for our collection of snowdrops.

There are refreshments in the Tea Hut, plant sales, dogs welcome on leads with careful owners. Wheelchair access parking, toilets and garden resting points.

Open daily 20th March - 15th October 10.00 to 5.00, last entry 4.00.

Complimentary tea and coffee is included in the entry price.
