Truly a hidden gem, this tiny and unspoilt village is the perfect spot for lunch, a pint or cream tea on the village green. Hop across the river on stepping stones, watch the wildlife or hire a kayak to explore this lovely creek. You could also book a river cruise to Lerryn (departure days restricted due to tidal conditions). Nearby is the hamlet of St Winnow with its beautiful church which lies right on the riverside. Located approximately 4 miles North of St Austell, it was the first large civil engineering structure of its kind to be built in Cornwall, and is now a Scheduled Ancient Monument. Although on-site parking is limited, it is an idyllic picnic spot for those who are exploring the Luxulyan Tramway Trail.
