Starting out with just three members during the 2021 lockdown, the group practise every week at ClayTAWC (the local community hub) at St Dennis. Stairs lead down to 2 bedrooms, one double en-suite and the other a twin, both with electric panel heaters. Also on this level is a shower room/w.c. You can decide to take heating from the modern night-storage heater with its built in convector heater or settle down by the wood burning stove. A free supply of wood is provided. If nothing grabs you on the flat-screen TV or DVD player, then you might feel inclined to check out the owl cam located within the purpose built nest box. This is situated in the gable-end loft space of the building. The kitchen is fully fitted with a natural gas cooker, an oven, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a digital radio and microwave oven. Four skylights keep the area nice and bright even on a dark day. The dining/ living area has a dining table with four chairs and two sofas all on oak flooring. For your comfort both bathrooms are electrically heated via towel rails and underfloor heating. Primrose is a single-storey barn conversion with 3 bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, the main one having a bath with overhead shower. Both bathrooms have underfloor heating. There is a large open plan living area with slate flooring throughout. The kitchen is fully fitted and has a range cooker and large fridge/freezer. Whilst not having direct sea views, there are beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and an enclosed private courtyard. Both properties have 100% cotton towels and linen is provided. We can also supply a cot, highchair and buggy if required, just let us know in advance Outside we have parking for two cars, a patio and a grass area facing west to catch those beautiful sunsets. Garden Areas On the lower level at the rear is a private enclosed patio sun trap, at the mid level a lovely sitting area looking down into the harbour and the upper level is a beautiful flower bordered terrace to lie out on and relax with a glass of wine and a good book! Parking Secure on site garage with on drive parking. Watersports Fowey and the Bowshot Lady are ideal for watersports - paddleboarding, kayaking and dinghy sailing. The Fowey estuary has great sheltered paddling and the nearby beaches of Polkerris and Porthpean provide opportunities for visiting Cornish coves and seeing wildlife. The house has a garage for storing all your paddleboards and kayaks as well as outside and inside drying facilities for wetsuits and kit. The Fowey main launch point for paddling is less than 1km from the house. We recommend Encounter Cornwall for trips and lessons and can even help you plan your paddles and itinerary if you wish. NB Due to steep steps and a garden balcony this property isn't suitable for children under 8 or those who have difficulties with steps. All young children should be supervised at all times.
