Offering a year-round selection of dates and routes for those not wanting to walk alone, as a taster/confidence builder or to add depth and interest to your walk. DATES AND TIMES TO SUIT YOU WHEREVER POSSIBLE - JUST ASK.


Regular walks from 1.5 to 6 miles and 1 to 4.5 hours, with discussion covering topics from history and the growth of Fowey to literary connections and identification of flora, delivered in an easy-going style. Guests’ questions are always very welcome.


Well-behaved dogs welcome, children by arrangement (this is only to ensure their comfort, safety and enjoyment - I’m very pro-walking-children!).


I will also cater for private groups touring or walking anywhere in South West England - see website for details.


Beyond Paradise filming location tours. Either a 90-minute tour of the Looe (Shipton Abbott) locations or a FULL DAY tour of the locations set around the Tamar Valley on the borders of Cornwall and Devon.


Looe ‘Beyond Paradise’ TV locations guided walk
An approximately 2-mile guided walk exploring Looe as featured in BBC TV 'Death in Paradise' spin-off series BEYOND PARADISE.
Visiting and identifying several locations used in the making of Beyond Paradise, whose fictional location of Shipton Abbott is inspired by this lovely Cornish coastal town. All on made-up surfaces, so only general sturdy footwear and clothing required. Some moderate uphill sections involved, at a leisurely pace!
The Police Station, the Fish Market, the memorable bridge, seats where Anne and Martha had their mother/daughter chats, and more.

'Beyond Paradise' FULL DAY TV locations tour
A full day exploring some familiar filming locations in South East Cornwall & West Devon as featured in BBC TV 'Death in Paradise' spin-off series BEYOND PARADISE.
Travelling by scenic rail journeys, bus, ferry or boat trip around the stunning Tamar Valley. Country house, parkland, boat yard, small town, city centre, coast - a varied and interesting tour of the area.
Anne Lloyd's house by the water, Ten Mile Kitchen café, the local hospital, Police station & HQ. Some locations are tide-dependent and not always available; the itinerary will be adjusted accordingly.

Dusk Walking Tour of Fowey
A walk around Fowey to explore the history, literary connections and hidden gems of this lovely Cornish town. All on made-up surfaces, so only general sturdy footwear and clothing required. Some moderate uphill sections involved, at a leisurely pace!
Offered as an early evening option to take advantage of the beauty of the town and countryside as darkness falls. Work up an appetite for dinner or walk it off (according to the time of year) with sunset, moonrise, stargazing and listening to owls - to name just a few of the dusk delights!

Walking Tour of Fowey

Fowey Estuary "The Hall Walk"
A circular classic walk of 4 miles, including two ferries and spectacular views of the Fowey estuary.
A couple of climbs/descents but much of the walk is roughly level, contouring above the river and Pont Pill. We leave as foot passengers on the Bodinnick vehicle ferry and return on the Polruan foot ferry. Optional opportunities for cream teas or other refreshments on our return to Fowey. FERRY FARES INCLUDED IN TICKET PRICE.

South West Coast Path, Par & Charlestown

Starting at Par with short bus trip to join the Coast Path at Duporth and passing through Charlestown's Historic harbour - a Poldark filming location - then walking round St Austell Bay on rugged terrain across low cliff tops. Finishing at the Par start point at the end of this 3 mile hike.
You will need suitable clothing and footwear for rugged terrain and all weathers, a water bottle (1 litre is recommended) and a rucksack or other suitable carrier. PUBLIC TRANSPORT FARES INCLUDED.

Guided Walk in Cornwall's Clay Country

Starting at St Austell this is a varied guided walk on the Clay Trails above St Austell. Well graded paths with little ascent.
A short bus trip to join the Trail at Carluddon then a walk on rugged terrain across moorland tops and wooded valleys, crossing streams and visiting the café at Wheal Martyn. Walking along scenic disused railway tracks back to St Austell at the end of this 5.75 mile hike.

Mevagissey Coast & Country Circular

Starting from Mevagissey on the Coast Path we walk on rugged terrain via Portmellon and Chapel Point. We return via a woodland Nature Reserve and the grounds of a 17th Century Manor, to Mevagissey for the end of this 4 mile hike.
You will need suitable clothing and footwear for rugged terrain and all weathers, a water bottle (1 litre is recommended) and a rucksack or other suitable carrier.

South West Coast Path, Lansallos & Polruan

Starting from Polruan with a short bus trip to join the Coast Path at Lansallos (NB available weekdays only) then walk on rugged terrain across cliff tops, crossing streams and skirting above the stunning Lantic Bay with its white sands and turquoise waters.
There are several moderate climbs (mostly stepped), totalling 360m of ascent. Pencarrow gives expansive views across St Austell Bay to Dodman Point and the Lizard on a clear day. Looking east, there are views towards Polperro and beyond.
Optional visit to the well-preserved 14th century blockhouse at the end of this 4.5 mile hike.
