To kick start February Half Term, the Living History group The 32nd Cornwall Regiment of Foot 1808-1815 will be making an appearance for their Drill Practice Day, taking place here at Bodmin Keep on Sunday the 11th February. There will be marching and drill displays at 12:00 and 14:00. Find out more on the Napoleonic Era Drill Practice Days events page.
(Please note, during the Drill Practice Days parking may be limited, and there may be loud noises, which dog owners or families with small children may wish to consider before planning their visit.)
There will be special Gun Handling Sessions at 11am and 2pm each day from Monday 12th – Friday 16th February. These are an excellent opportunity for children and adults alike to get hands on with the collection and learn about the historic weaponry used throughout hundreds of years of battle, and the innovations and pitfalls of firearms throughout the ages. Discover one of the finest collections of weaponry in the South West and get up close and personal with the museum’s impressive armoury right here in ‘The Keep’, the former barracks of the Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry Regiment. Half Term Gun handling sessions will take place during weekdays only, please contact us in advance to check times.
Visit our second hand book room and refreshment area. Dogs are welcome throughout the museum. We have free parking at the rear of the museum, and overflow parking nearby at the Pay and Display.
