Soon after formation 100 years ago this year, the choir of the Polperro Fishermen was attracting huge congregations to Harvest of the Sea services, mainly because of their fellow fisherman and inspirational lay preacher, Tommy Mark, who became known as the Fishermen’s Bishop. The choir is still based in the Polperro chapel where it was formed in 1923, and where choir president Richard Madeley visits to have his own inspiring chats with the choir. We can’t bring back Tommy Mark but come and join the choir on the Old Coal Wharf in Polruan to recreate the experience. The event is free and all are welcome.
